ADVENT CALENDAR 2018 - DAY 12
Day 12: The Crystal Palace Dinosaurs need your help! Background for anyone who isn't aware, in 1854 the Crystal Palace Dinosaur models were unveiled to the public, the first dinosaur sculptures to have ever existed. They accurately (for the time) recreated the dinosaurs based off the current scientific ideas posed at the time.
And now, in 2018, they need your help! These authentic specimens are a historical treasure, and more people need to be aware of their origin and importance in the paleontology community. And come forth a campaign in order to raise money for a groundbreaking 'Dino Bridge' in order to allow visitors to see the attractions up close and personal, by crossing the water. You can donate to the page by clicking the button below, which will lead you to their website.

You can also follow them on Twitter, and bid in their auction in order to help fund the bridge. There isn't long left, so get your donations in as soon as possible! Furthermore, take a look at the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs featuring in media, notably they were influential in the creation of the hit BBC documentary series Walking With Dinosaurs, produced by Tim Haines (the creator of Primeval). Here in this segment of 'The Making Of', we see the dinosaurs as they were back in 1999, when the programme was released! A witness to history...
