Nick Cutter and the ARC team have been through some of the toughest challenges a group of people could face. Losing multiple loved ones, and very close friends, Cutter begins to withdraw and blame himself for the Stephen Hart tragedy. But as time passes, the team must carry on. Suddenly, one Anomaly incursion sparks a sudden idea in Nick's mind. The Professor is making progress on the Anomaly project. So much progress, in fact, that the Anomaly Detector itself may not even be needed in the future. That is until Helen Cutter, and her army of clones.
The team have darker days to come, as ex-Police officer Danny Quinn becomes interested in the truth behind the ARC, the press get hold of vital confidential information, Christine Johnson becomes ruthless in her actions to experiment on Predators, and Helen becomes hell bent on her most insane idea yet. All of this, all links back to one undiscovered Artifact from the future!
